Day 38: Textures and Colour

Day 38

I got home this evening and realised I hadn’t taken any pictures at all and now it was late and dark.  Frustrating really as it had been a beautiful sunrise when I went out to the station this morning (but not enough time to photograph it while running for my train!).  So this is a close up of our footstool.  It does have a great knotty texture and is a lovely yellowy green.  It is cropped in from a larger image showing the footstool in it’s surroundings, but it was a bit too cluttered to make a good picture.  It was taken using the cable release and Yashica ST-7 tripod due to the low light levels indoors.

Taken with my Olympus Pen EP-1.  Setting: Aperture Priority.  Aperture: f/3.5; Shutter: 1/2; ISO 200.  Manual focus, Yashica ST-7 tripod, cable release.
