Day 40: Cranes, Manchester Museum

Day 40

Not the sharpest image today, but shooting inside the museum, without a tripod proved to be quite tricky.  The Living Worlds Gallery* is an attempt at modern delivery of museum artefacts – “showing connections between all living things”.  I liked the one word neon signs above each case and the way these are reflected in and seen through the other cases, as above.  The cranes are in the case marked ‘Peace’.

Taken with my Olympus Pen EP-1. Setting: Aperture Priority. Aperture: f/5.6; Shutter: 1/10; ISO 1600.  Desaturated in iPhoto.

* The link takes you to the museum flickr stream for this gallery – it’s nice to see some of their own pictures weren’t much better!
