Day 178: Serpentine Pavilion, Hyde Park, London

Today we decided to take an impromptu trip to the capital.  We decided yesterday after I rearranged the furniture and declared the desire to visit a Habitat and a John Lewis to look at new furniture.  It also gave us the opportunity to see this year’s Pavilion at the Serpentine Gallery in Hyde Park, by Japanese architect Sou Fujimoto.  It’s a delicate, light weight structure full of light – it’s very clever as it appears to be pretty open, but has subtle floors, walls, and even a ceiling.

Taken with my Olympus Pen EP-1. Setting: Aperture Priority. Aperture: f4.5; Shutter: 1/3,200; ISO: 200.  Desaturated in iPhoto.
