Day 179: The Hubs, Sheffield

Day 179

Tonight I was across in Sheffield for a friend’s leaving do.  I really liked working in Sheffield – the people and place.  The Hubs were a Millennium project, that weren’t a huge success as the National Centre for Popular Music.  They are currently used by Sheffield Hallam for the student union.  Much cooler than my 1960s concrete union!  I love their Curling Stone shape.  It’s just a shame that the tops don’t turn in the wind any more…

Taken with my Olympus Pen EP-1. Setting: Aperture Priority. Aperture: f5.6; Shutter: 1/15; ISO: 1250.  Desaturated in iPhoto.
