There is a very large lavender bush outside our office (it’s possibly more than one). These last few days it has been positively hoachin’ with bees. I took my macro lens with me today to try and take pictures of the bees as a friend had told me the main thing that a macro lens was for was ‘bothering bees’… I found out today that bees on lavender are rather hard to take picture of though as they flit from head to head. This one just about sat still long enough for me to capture him. Blind luck I call it!
Taken with my Olympus Pen EP-1. Setting: Aperture Priority. Aperture: f5; Shutter: 1/1250; ISO: 400. Macro lens. Cropped in iPhoto.
