Day 213: Mating Butterflies, Piccadilly Basin

Day 213

Having seen on Twitter this morning that there is a bit of Urban gardening in Piccadilly Basin, I decided to swing by on my way home tonight to take a look.  There are a fabulous set of planters there forming an urban allotment – I spotted cabbages, leeks, beans, and even an apple tree (among other things).  These two butterflies were flitting around each other at some cabbages and armed with the macro lens I snapped away with both continuous focus and continuous shooting.  Not many ended up in focus, but this is one of the best.

Taken with my Olympus Pen EP-1. Setting: Aperture Priority. Aperture: f2.8; Shutter: 1/1000; ISO: 400.  Macro lens.  Cropped in iPhoto.
