Day 234: Pen and Ink drawing, Edinburgh

Day 234

Today’s picture is a close up of a part of a pen and ink drawing of Edinburgh that my talented husband did for me for Christmas 2007.  The intricate detail is just amazing to me (who doesn’t draw), and must have taken him AGES!  The whole view is our favourite view of Edinburgh, from Regent Road, looking out across the North Bridge and old town over Waverly Station.  I love this spot and this picture makes me happy and sad in equal measure.  Happy to see that view every day, but sad that we no longer live near by it.

Taken with my Olympus Pen EP-1.  Setting: Aperture Priority.  Aperture: f2.8; Shutter: 1/100; ISO: 400.  Macro lens.  Manual focus.

Original artwork (c) Ray Lucas, 2007
