Day 279: Ice-cream Flavours, Ginger’s Comfort Emporium

Day 279

There is an ice-cream van that apparently prowls the streets of South Manchester after dark plying it’s wares.  But this is no ordinary ice-cream van selling ordinary ice-cream.  It is Ginger’s Comfort Emporium, with a wondrous array of interesting and unusual flavours, designed for grown-ups.  The van can also be found at festivals and markets across the region, and today was parked up in Albert Square for the Manchester Food and Drink Festival.  I had the Rhubarb Crumble paired with the Absinthe, the latter of which was just divine.  If you see the van – stop her and buy one!

Taken with my Olympus Pen EP-1. Setting: Aperture Priority. Aperture: f2.8; Shutter: 1/160; ISO: 100.  17mm Pancake lens.  Cropped and corrected in Photoshop.
