Day 293: Piccadilly Fountain, Manchester

Day 293

It’s a curious way to photograph a fountain, I admit.  We walked passed the ground fountain in Piccadilly Gardens this afternoon and found it sporting a new look.  Closer inspection (through the safety fencing) showed that the paving around the spouts has been taken up, presumably for maintenance.   It makes for an interesting look though!

Taken with my Olympus Pen EP-1.  Setting: Aperture Priority.  Aperture: f3.2; Shutter: 1/4000; ISO: 400.  17mm Pancake Lens.  Cropped in iPhoto.
