Today we went out to Macclesfield to visit Treacle Market, a large arts, food, antiques, and craft market that takes over the winding streets in the middle of the town on the last Sunday of every month. We’ve never been before, and weren’t quite sure what to expect, but it was excellent, exceeding any expectations we might actually have had. The stall holders were friendly, the produce was interesting and varied, and we were pleasantly surprised by Macclesfield itself, to the point of thinking it might make an interesting move out of Manchester one day!
